This album is purely "Britney" and cannot be described any other way.
It's the Britney that haters look back on and wish was still here,
and it's the Britney that makes her now under so much scrutany,
Its the Not quite so innocent, yet completely bubble gum pop Britney.
Although when listening to the tracks they each have a slightly sexy feel as well as the plain pop plastered over the top of them.
In the words of oops i did it again "Not that innocent", is completely how to describe the album, you dont know how to take it but people are fixed to it.
Confused, Yet brilliant - remarkable. Very much a "reaction" album, to pave the was for Britney.
During this album the public could tell that there was definately more to Britney than meets the eye, as she seemed held back, although the tracks were brilliant, they seemed trapped between pure pop and the RnB sultry Britney that was soon to be unleashed.
The public got a glimpse of the "New" britney when the video for "Slave 4 U" was released, this shocked the world and showed everyone that they best be prepared!
The vovals began to become some what more sultry and deep, with the sounds of breaths being visible.
This album very much led up to and prepared the world for the sultry vocals and lyrics of Miss Queen B.
The hits that we hear by other RnB artists at the moment, are nothing more than copy cats of the low blue/jazzy tempo of "In the Zone". This proving that Britney really does lead the pack, and leads it well!
This album is great as it's totally unexspected, Britney's self titled album "Britney" still seemed very naive and forced, as she was still leashed by managers and producers excpecting the pop princess to sing purely "pop".
This album is very different to anything else on the music scene at the moment, which is genious!
Britney does it everytime and never seizes to amaze.
Each track is full of hidden meanings and ambiguity, as well as an array of old and new vocal talent.
Britney certainly has a lot of tricks up her sleeve in the music business, and this album certainly is a treasure.
I'm sure in the coming year we'll be hearing alot more of this genre which can only be called purely "Britney"...
This song is musical genious,
It links Britney's new genre of music back to her "In the Zone" album, as it has a very Blue/Jazzy feel to it. It also shows how she's developed since "In The Zone" as her voice seems more sultry, adding tot he vibe of "Blackout".
The opening lines "It's been a while" "I know i shouldn't have kept you waiting", seem rather ambiguous as they represnt her with a man when you look deep into the lyrics, but it's almost as if Britney wants the fans to know that, thats how she feels about them, and that she's back.
Yes you heard me correctly !!
Britney got a Number 1 !!
B*tch has still got it !!!
After the Billboard conspiracy,
Billboard.com has asked their readers "to divulge their favorite album of 2007."
And with over 16,000 votes !! (yes that's right)
"Blackout" won as the best album of the year by a huge land-slide.

Simply commercial, yet catchy. - Queen of Pop
Lets admit it as much as we love the pure bubble gum pop, this album was simply commercial, and was made before Britney was known to be such a huge success.
The tracks were to catch the eyes of children and teen worldwide, whilst the "Baby one more time" captured the other needed audiences.
I"m not exactly sure what to thick of the album, it is truely Britney, it's Britney being enclosed and told what to do, and doing it brilliantly...
But still this was a learning album for Britney, and without it she wouldnt be "the queen of pop"...
