Britney and Blackout (also In The Zone, mostly because of Toxic) is (according to me) the best albums Britney has ever made. Maybe Circus will come to the top as well.. we'll see. The best hits at this album is "I'm a Slave 4 U", "Bombastic Love", "Cinderella", "Overprotected", "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet A Woman", "Let Me Be", "Boys" and "I Love Rock 'N' Roll". Although, the co-ed remix of "Boys" is better than the original version. I'm listening to Cinderella right now =) I think the number one song is "I'm a Slave 4 U" on this album so it makes sense that it's number one on the album too

Oh Gosh I just love this album! It's my favorite album EVER! It's perfect!
It has sexy songs like "I'm A Slave 4 U" and "Boys", it has mature songs like "Overprotected" and "INAGNYAW", really catchy pop songs like "Lonely", "Anticipating", "Ciderella", "Bombastic Love", "Let Me Be" and "What It's Like To Be Me" (wich btw is written by Britney's PERFECT EX BOYFRIEND Justin Timberlake.. I think they HAVE to work together again.. you know make music and stuff.. or maybe more things, not just music... ANYWAY),and even a cover for a great rock song, "I Love Rock N Roll"!
I'm definetely IN LOVE with this album... it's her best!
When I first heard this album in Nov. 2001, I was a freshmen in high school. I was already a huge Britney fan and had been for two years. I think I really connected with this album because I was going through a transition in my life the same way Britney was going through a transition in her career. When this album was released, she was about to be 20 years old. She couldn't sing the same "type" of music she had for the prior two years because she was growing up. She was taking the step from teen to adult and so her music had to follow. I gave this album 4 of 5 stars because, while it was great, it only had one ballad, and (if you've read my other reviews) you know how much I love Britney ballads. Overall, this album did what it was supposed to do: Take Britney and her music to the next level. It didn't jump too far ahead. It was the perfect blend of sweet, innocent, pop Britney, and the new, grown-up, sexual diva Britney (and i use the word "diva" in a good way). " I'm a Slave 4 U" was a great hit in the clubs because of the jungle, ass shaking beat. You just can't help but want to dance when you hear this song. "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman" is one of my favorite Britney tracks ever. It is one the most well written songs she has released. The melody flows nicely with the lyric and meaning of the song and Britney sounds wonderful. "Overprotected" is a throw back to the sound of her previous albums, yet it still brought something new and exciting with the lyric content. The song conveys the message "I'm growing up and I can handle stuff on my own" in a way that doesn't sound like a "b*tch", but fun and to the point.
Other stand out tracks are: "Let Me Be", "Lonely", "Boys",and "That's Where You Take Me"
My only complaint about this album is that I wish it contained more than one ballad. The unreleased track (to the u.s.) called "When I Found You" would have been a great addition to this album and would have provided another ballad (or semi-ballad at least).
As I said earlier, I really did identify with Britney on this album. No, I am not a female pop star, but I understood about transition and how it is very hard to do. I felt this album accomplished her transition very well and set her up for the 5 star album (and her best so far) "In The Zone"
One of the best songs of all time, just like everything she does, there are the blazing tracks and the bold songs you have to just get used to hearing Britney tell you something.
She's not making music you want to hear but if you listen, you can't live without it.

RemixCity is HOT AS ICE! Go Britney!

I love this CD, especially the tracks "Let Me Be", "Cinderella", "Lonely", and "When I found you". The re-release with the bonus tracks is aweomse too. It's cool, because Britney did most of the co-writing on this album as well, and worked in some of the production of it. The music is awesome and it shows her growth. It is an awesome album, a couple of the songs are not really for adults but for her tween audience. Still it awesome and is one of her best CDs.
Third albums are always tricky because a third album has to be different in some senses. And did britney ever accomplish this. Having singles that sound different from her first two albums and getting more envolved with the writing aspect of the music biz. She debuted her songwriting skills to the world with "Dear Diary" off her secound studio album "Oops..I Did It Again" but this album she co-wrote most of the songs and did a very good job doing it ! Another great sucess britney ! Another sold out tour ! Another killer MTV performance !

what can I say? Its amazyng how Brit can make everything better!

That album is very cool, love this album 'cause it has cancions who I love very how : I'm Slave 4 U, Overprotected, I'm Not a Girl Not Yet a Woman, Boys,
I love I'm A Slave 4 U. Great song and great video. Also steamy.
The one little thing I was sad about was that a song called Before The Goodbye was going to be the first single for Britney before Slave 4 U got released. Not even on the album directly. But all in all, the album is perfection. Heck I even love the Thunderpuss remix for Slave 4 U. ^_^
WAS VERY COOL ALBUM...MOST OF THE SONGA WERE SONG TODANCE...AND IM NOT GIRL WAS GREAT SONG....................... IN THIS ALBUM START THE NEW BRITNEY.............BRITNEY NOT A GIRL BUT NOT A WOMEN.
Tenho todos os álbuns em casa dela
Este é especial, pois tem uma música fantástica, I'm Not A Girl, Not Yeat a Women!
-LONELY
-BOYS
-I Love Rock 'N' Roll
-Cindarella
-Bombastic love
This cd is a great new britney from her 2 previous albums. I love the newier sound from ...baby one more time and oops..i did it again. My favorite trackse are IM A SLAVE 4 U, OVERPROTECTED, LONLEY, I LOVE ROCK n ROLL, and cinderella also let me be and bombastic love are good i love this album a lot.
Yes! I love this album and it's my favourite of all =)
My album have one more song that is so beautiful and I love so much: "When I found you", because I'm from Brazil!!
But, I love all the songs, just the last one that I'm not into it.
this album title is telling me that she is showing her to the world just as she is, a simple girl like any other who wants to feel sexy at times and shes became tougher than ever taking control (im a slave 4u and overprotected, for example) but that she also has a vulnerable and deep side (im not a girl, not yet a woman and thats where you take me)...
That's my fav album ever!I mean it contains alot of great song,Britney was in a great shape and she rocks the world when this disc came out!Blakcout is amazing but this is the number 1!
Britney is my favourite album so far.
I think that songs like I'm Slave 4U,Boys or What's like to be me fits her perfectly.
You know,it's simply Britney, the right awesome Britney.
And vide for I'm Slave 4U is so damn hot, don't you think?
This album is her evoltion from little school girl to pop goddess..<3 My favs are "Lonely", "Let me be", "Bombastic love" and "That's where you take me".. :)<3 Britney looks so beautiful on the cover..<3 4/5 stars..
During this album the public could tell that there was definately more to Britney than meets the eye, as she seemed held back, although the tracks were brilliant, they seemed trapped between pure pop and the RnB sultry Britney that was soon to be unleashed.
The public got a glimpse of the "New" britney when the video for "Slave 4 U" was released, this shocked the world and showed everyone that they best be prepared!
The vovals began to become some what more sultry and deep, with the sounds of breaths being visible.
The lyrics also began to become more revelaing as in "Overproted" Britney gives viewers a glimpse into her up tight world, which also hints to her being hel back in this album.
This album seems confused yet brilliant at the same time which is remarkable.
The album was very much to get a reaction and to see how the public would feel about a "not so innocent" Britney, which later built Britney up to be the iconic superstar she is today...
This obviously well thought out strategy was brilliant, so in a way if it wasnt for this album, the music industry would not be what it is today, and Britney would not be the same icon we know and love.
Britney is most notable for Spears' own increasingly prominent role in the songwriting. The record boasts aids from producers such as Max Martin, The Neptunes and others.
The album fared well with critics such as All Music Guide, who gave it 4.5 out of 5 stars describing the album's title tracks as being "pivotal moments on Britney Spears' third album, the record where she strives to deepen her persona, making it more adult while still recognizably Britney."[1] In contrast, Rolling Stone said of the album: "Britney belabors the obvious: Spears is one month away from entering her twenties and clearly needs to grow up if she's going to bring her fans along."[2]
The perfect album!!!!The songs is so amaizing, fantastic!May be,"Britney" is my fauvorite album(think).
-I`m a slave 4 y
-Overprotacted
-Lonely

-I Love Rock 'N' Roll

Britney and in the zone are my favourite albums. In this case, Britney means a change of style: in music, in appearance, in attitude... much more sexy than before.
With this album, Britney reached the top, and it is because on the whole, all songs are simply fantastic. As in in the zone, I can't talk about my favourite ones cause there are 2 many. The only one I don't like is Anticipating, it is like a ? in the middle of the album. Pay attention to the B-sides !!! they're also very good.
