Confused, Yet brilliant - remarkable. Very much a "reaction" album, to pave the was for Britney.

During this album the public could tell that there was definately more to Britney than meets the eye, as she seemed held back, although the tracks were brilliant, they seemed trapped between pure pop and the RnB sultry Britney that was soon to be unleashed.
The public got a glimpse of the "New" britney when the video for "Slave 4 U" was released, this shocked the world and showed everyone that they best be prepared!
The vovals began to become some what more sultry and deep, with the sounds of breaths being visible.
The lyrics also began to become more revelaing as in "Overproted" Britney gives viewers a glimpse into her up tight world, which also hints to her being hel back in this album.

This album seems confused yet brilliant at the same time which is remarkable.
The album was very much to get a reaction and to see how the public would feel about a "not so innocent" Britney, which later built Britney up to be the iconic superstar she is today...
This obviously well thought out strategy was brilliant, so in a way if it wasnt for this album, the music industry would not be what it is today, and Britney would not be the same icon we know and love.

5 Stars.
