I support both PETA and Britney, and as much as I love Brit, I lose a bit of respect when I see her wearing fur. There is no reason and no excuse. If Britney took PETA up on their offer it would earn her a huge amount of good-will. Come on Brit, show us your heart's in the right place on this one!

PETA can be an oppuritunity for Britney, if she wants to do it, and she is still better than BSB is right, now. She isn't blaming their fans for something they never did just so Nick Carter can keep an insane woman at 50 years old running fansites for all of the people they know that are "fansites". Britney is awesome, BSB could learn from her, which is sad for them and most of Britney's generation of Pop music stars peers, because Nick Carter and his love of this woman and lying.

PETA has never been an organization I've cared for; they're mean, pushy extremists who hurt a legitimate, important cause like animal rights. No one with a brain should support them, ever. There are far better organizations for animal rights to support--ASPCA, The Humane Society, Defenders of Wildlife, et al. Their offer to Britney, the way it reads, is condescending and snobbish; it should definitely be turned down. Would it be better if Britney and others only adopted animals from a local shelter or rescue group or at least a reputable breeder? Of course. But it's not her fault that the problem exists in the first place--not that PETA would admit as much. If pet shops weren't allowed in the first place and businesses were consistently and harshly punished for any violations, especially animal abuse, then the problem wouldn't be as severe to begin with, if it existed at all. No, stay away from them, Britney; stick with your own foundation, maybe expand it to include an animal rights awareness component. That would be much better.

I love animals, I LOVE PETA, I love BRIT so... where's the problem?

The more positive signs for Britney, the better. I'm very happy for her. I hope she finds true happiness. I also want her to know that I would drop everything at a moment's notice to be with her. I love her.
